Dr. Daniel A. Hughes received his Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Ohio University, with a clinical internship at the University
of Rochester Medical School. He is a member of the American Psychological Association (APA), the Society for Research
in Child Development (SRCD), and the Association for Treatment and Training in the Attachment of Children (ATTACh).
He consults with various mental health, social service, and residential treatment agencies in the U.S. and other countries. He
presents workshops and trains therapists in the U.S., Canada, Australia, Scotland, England and Ireland while maintaining a
direct service practice in Pensylvania. Dan is the author of Facilitating Developmental Attachment (1997) and Building the
Bonds of Attachment (1998/2006) and Attachment Focused Parenting (2006), Attachment Focused Family Therapy (2007)
and Attachment Focused Parenting ( 2009).
